This landmark recording showcases the pioneering spirit of Mícheál Ó Súilleabháin, one of Ireland's best-known musicians. This album brings together his music for film and radio which was recorded between 1974 and 1978. It includes colourful arrangements of four songs associated with Napoleon Bonaparte. A Concertina for fiddle, Seán Ó Duibhir an Ghleanna contrasts with film film collages where Ó Súilleabháin brilliantly links Irish music with the exotic music of the Orient and South America. On this album, Mícheál is joined by a host of stellar musicians, including: Paddy Keenan, Matt Molloy, Mary Bergin, Mel Mercier, Séamus Tansey and Paddy Glackin. Bailiúchán álainn é seo de thaifeadtaí ceoil a chum nó a chóirigh Micheál ÓSúilleabháín i gcomhair scannán agus cláir radio idir 1974 agus 1978. Tá éagslacht stíleanna ceoil anseo a léiríonn cumas Uí Shúilleabháin mar cheannródaí ceoil.
